Asthma Blues I

Asthma Blues I

Our evidence-based Asthma Blues® music is an effective tool for educating patients with asthma. Asthma guidelines and self-management messaging is delivered to the patient musically, explained in plain language, and directs the patient to the resource needed for proper diagnosis and/or treatment. The music and lyrics from Asthma Blues®, address the patient education goals found in Section 3, Component 2 of the Expert Panel Report (EPR-3) and delivers 5 of the 6 key priority messages from the Guidelines Implementation Panel (GIP) report.

A study performed at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, based on the music and teaching from Asthma Blues®, produced a 58% increase in asthma knowledge and self-management skills with hospitalized asthma patients.
